Send messages from GridWork HQ pipelines to Slack.

Connect GridWork HQ to Slack and send messages to your channels from pipeline nodes.

Prerequisites

  • Slack workspace with admin access or the ability to manage webhooks in your channel

Connect to Slack

  1. In Slack, go to App Directory and search for Incoming Webhooks.
  2. Click Incoming Webhooks and then Add to Slack (or Install if already installed).
  3. Select the channel where GridWork should send messages.
  4. Click Add Incoming Webhooks Integration.
  5. Copy the Webhook URL (it looks like https://hooks.slack.com/services/...).
  6. In GridWork HQ, go to Settings > Integrations > Slack.
  7. Paste the Webhook URL into the field.
  8. Click Connect.

What It Enables

Once connected, pipeline nodes can send messages to your Slack channel. You can:

  • Route notifications to different channels by creating multiple webhook integrations (one per channel).
  • Format messages with text, links, and mentions.
  • Trigger alerts when pipelines complete, fail, or reach checkpoints.

Disconnect from Slack

  1. Go to Settings > Integrations > Slack.
  2. Click Remove or Disconnect.
  3. The webhook connection is immediately revoked.
