Slack
Send messages from GridWork HQ pipelines to Slack.
Connect GridWork HQ to Slack and send messages to your channels from pipeline nodes.
Prerequisites
- Slack workspace with admin access or the ability to manage webhooks in your channel
Connect to Slack
- In Slack, go to App Directory and search for Incoming Webhooks.
- Click Incoming Webhooks and then Add to Slack (or Install if already installed).
- Select the channel where GridWork should send messages.
- Click Add Incoming Webhooks Integration.
- Copy the Webhook URL (it looks like
https://hooks.slack.com/services/...). - In GridWork HQ, go to Settings > Integrations > Slack.
- Paste the Webhook URL into the field.
- Click Connect.
What It Enables
Once connected, pipeline nodes can send messages to your Slack channel. You can:
- Route notifications to different channels by creating multiple webhook integrations (one per channel).
- Format messages with text, links, and mentions.
- Trigger alerts when pipelines complete, fail, or reach checkpoints.
Disconnect from Slack
- Go to Settings > Integrations > Slack.
- Click Remove or Disconnect.
- The webhook connection is immediately revoked.
